Technicians & Assistants

Peggy Jennings,
Office Manager &
Certified Veterinary Technician

Peggy has worked for DVC since last August, but left in May for 3-1/2 months to try a position closer to home, but decided that DVC was the place for her and came back in August, 2008.  Peggy is our Office Coordinator. She says, “I love my job because it involves being with animals.  I have had a great love for animals all my life and have the best job in the world.  I have been a Veterinary Technician since 1985 and has never hesitated coming to work.”

Peggy is a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She attended Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver, Colorado and actually did her internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital where 'Emergency Vets' is filmed.  Dr. Taylor and Dr. Fitzgerald were her instructors.  She sat her Illinois State Boards last year and passed.  Peggy had spent almost 20 years in England where she also worked as a veterinary technician.

Peggy’s hobbies include looking after 2 horses (that she brought from England), 2 dogs, a beagle and a labrador, 7
cats - 3 indoor (that she brought from England) and 4 barn cats (very spoiled barn cats), a cow named Hermantrude and her twin calves, and 18 chickens.  She also owns a lamb. Peggy says, “My husband says that he is coming back as one of my pets.”  Peggy also enjoys gardening and playing golf.

Peggy moved back from England to be closer to her family.  Her mother, two brothers and two sisters live locally.  Peggy brought her English husband with her and he seems to be settling into the American way of life.  Peggy has two children - a daughter who still lives here in the states and a son who lives in Australia.

Terry Fritz,
Veterinary Assistant

Terry has been with Dunlap Veterinary Clinic since  November, 1994.

Terry says that she loves her job because it’s so rewarding to save an animal's life and to bond with them during treatments.  She also says that, "One can learn from the ones that are a challenge and to comfort the ones that are abused, lost or left for treatment. Working with a great staff and meeting clients is always enjoyable."

Terry enjoys photography, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is happily married to Steve and they have a son, Jim( wife Stephanie), and a daughter, Penny (husband Jake). Terry has four granddaughters: Alexis, Alivia, Alayna, and Morgan.  She also has a grand dog named Junior (Yellow Lab).

Terry owns two dogs: Buddy, a Saint Bernard  Mix (7 years old),  and Little Bit, a Yorkie (6 years old).

Kayla and Reggie

Kayla Vester,
Veterinary Assistant & Corporate Inventory Coordinator

Kayla has been with Dunlap Vet since October, 2006.

Kayla says, "I love my job bcause you never know what will walk through the door.  The variety of cases keeps me on my toes.  With this job I’m almost guaranteed to learn something new every day.  The staff at DVC is amazing. We have wonderful doctors, technicians, kennel assistants, and receptionists who all pull together to make the clinic function effectively every day."

Kayla enjoys playing softball, being outdoors, hanging out with friends/family and sleeping in on her days off!

Kayla's parents live in Henry IL, and her older sister Cassandra is an charge nurse in the ER at St. Francis Hospital.  She and her husband live in Roanoke, IL.  Kayla was recently married this past October to her boyfriend of 6 years, Bob Vester.  Bob is currently employed full-time as a Marshall County Deputy.

Kayla has
a boxer named Jerzy.  Jerzy is 3 1/2 years old.  She was rescued from PAWS in 2008.

Megan Lee,
Veterinary Assistant

Megan joined the DVC Team on October 19th of this year as a Veterinary Assistant.

Megan loves being a part of the relationships owners build with their pets. She gets to help our clients grow and learn how to give their pets the best care possible.  Every day brings new challanges and she loves being a part of those unique experiences.

Megan graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and Wildlife Biology. After graduation, she worked at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. She started by educating guests about conservation issues and endangered animals and then worked on the ART team doing behavior research with the gorillas, tigers, and elephants. Megan has volunteered and worked at vet clinics, stables, and zoos since she was little.

Megan loves skiing and snowboarding in the winter, camping in the summer and playing polo.  She loves traveling and trying new things but when she's at home, she loves to read and cook.

Megan's parents currently live in Peoria and she has one older sister who lives in Hanover Park outside of Chicago.

Currently she shares her home with two cats: Bumble, an orange and white farm cat she adopted in high school and Tashina, a siamese mix she adopted from PAWS a couple years ago.
